Cosmo 1:1 (formerly ClassUp) is seeking passionate and experienced educators to join its team of online tutors. This is a fully remote, part-time opportunity that allows you to set your own schedule and teach from anywhere in Canada or the United States. The platform specializes in personalized, one-on-one instruction in Math, English Language Arts (ELA), and SAT preparation. With Cosmo’s structured learning plans and intuitive scheduling tools, tutors can focus on what they do best—teaching and inspiring students.

Location & Compensation

• Location: Remote (Canada or United States only)
• Salary: $20 CAD per 50-minute class
• Bonuses: Regular performance-based incentives available
• Employment Type: Part-Time
• Schedule: Flexible, with consistent weekly sessions

Key Responsibilities

As a Cosmo 1:1 tutor, you’ll be responsible for:

• Delivering personalized, one-on-one instruction tailored to each student’s age, ability, and learning goals
• Preparing lesson materials using Cosmo’s provided learning plans or your own resources
• Updating your availability in the Cosmo App to ensure smooth scheduling
• Submitting class feedback after each session to track student progress
• Communicating professionally with students, parents, and Cosmo staff
• Attending all scheduled classes on time and in a distraction-free environment
• Creating a welcoming, supportive, and engaging learning atmosphere

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in grades K–12 (Math, ELA, or SAT prep)
• Familiarity with K–12 curriculum standards in Math and ELA
• Teaching license preferred but not mandatory
• Fast and reliable internet connection
• Access to a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000
• Ability to commit to at least 6 months of teaching
• Availability between 3–10 PM EST, Monday through Friday or weekends
• Minimum of 20 hours of weekly availability
• Access to a private, quiet teaching space
• Passion for helping students learn and grow
• Must currently reside in Canada or the United States
• Note: Cosmo is unable to hire teachers residing in Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Puerto Rico, Vermont, or West Virginia
